Karachi may experience its hottest day with a feels-like temperature expected to reach up to 50°C. The Pakistan Meteorology Department has issued a heatwave alert for Karachi and several districts in Sindh province.
Previously, temperatures in Karachi were expected to rise moderately. However, forecasts now indicate that maximum temperatures could exceed 41°C on Monday and reach 40°C on Sunday.

The heatwave conditions are likely to persist from Saturday through Sunday. Daytime maximum temperatures may rise 4 to 6 degrees Celsius above normal levels across several districts.
Humidity levels are also set to increase significantly. Humidity is expected to peak at around 45% on Saturday and 70% on Sunday.
The general public is advised to take precautionary measures against the severe heat. Officials recommend avoiding direct sunlight, especially for vulnerable groups like children and senior citizens.
Farmers are urged to manage their crop activities carefully and ensure the well-being of their livestock during this intense weather. Dust storms and strong winds are forecasted over the weekend, which could impact structures and solar panels.
The Heat Wave Early Warning Centre of the meteorological department stated that these conditions signal an early onset of intense summer conditions in the region.
