fatima sana — PK news

Fatima Sana will lead Pakistan in a three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe. This series marks a significant moment as it is the first time Zimbabwe’s women’s cricket team tours Pakistan.

The matches are scheduled for May 4, 6, and 9, 2026, at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi. Both teams will train at the venue from April 30 to May 3, ensuring they are prepared for the competition.

Currently, Pakistan sits fifth in the ICC Women’s Championship standings with just two points. The upcoming series will be crucial for improving their position in the championship.

Pakistan’s squad includes 15 players, featuring uncapped player Momina Riasat. Her inclusion reflects a strategy to inject fresh talent into the team.

The ODI series is part of the ICC Women’s Championship cycle from 2025 to 2029. Following this series, a T20I series is also planned, with matches set for May 12, 14, and 15.

The start time for the ODI matches will be at 3:30 PM local time, while T20I matches will begin at 7:30 PM.

Yet, observers are keen to see how this new challenge impacts both teams. With Zimbabwe visiting Pakistan for the first time, expectations run high on both sides.
