Ipswich Town Football Club secured promotion to the Premier League in the 2025/26 season. To celebrate this achievement, the club will host a public open-top bus parade on May 4th, 2026. The parade will start from Portman Road Stadium at 11:30am and is expected to arrive at Christchurch Park around 12pm.
The Ipswich Borough Council expressed excitement about the event. “We are thrilled to be hosting a parade through the town followed by a celebration event in Christchurch Park to mark Ipswich Town Football Club’s promotion to the Premier League,” said a council representative.
Supporters can watch the parade live on big screens set up in Christchurch Park. This celebration comes after Ipswich finished second in their league with a total of 84 points. The team recorded 23 wins, 15 draws, and 8 losses, scoring 80 goals with a goal difference of +33 during the season.
Mark Ashton, Ipswich Town Chairman, noted that this promotion is significant for the entire community. “Promotion is a moment for the entire community, and we look forward to celebrating together at Christchurch Park,” he stated.
This marks Ipswich Town’s third promotion in four seasons, reflecting stability and effective management that has built an outstanding squad. The club aims to make a strong impact in the Premier League next season.
