Weather Impact in Islamabad
Islamabad is bracing for significant weather changes as heavy rain, wind, and thunderstorms are predicted from March 9 to March 12. This forecast comes as the federal capital and surrounding areas are expected to experience rain and thunderstorm activity starting from the night of March 9 through March 11.
Daytime temperatures across upper Pakistan, including Islamabad, are anticipated to drop by 3 to 4 degrees Celsius. Currently, the temperature in Islamabad stands at 14 degrees Celsius, while other cities report varying temperatures: Lahore at 22 degrees, Karachi at 22 degrees, Peshawar at 18 degrees, Quetta at 13 degrees, Gilgit at 11 degrees, and Murree at 10 degrees.
In addition to the rain, hailstorms are likely to occur at isolated places across Islamabad and the upper parts of the country during this forecast period. Farmers in the region are encouraged to take appropriate measures to protect their crops in light of the impending weather conditions.
While mainly dry weather is expected in most parts of the country during the next 24 hours, partly cloudy conditions are likely in north Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir. However, the winds blowing into Pakistan may carry pollutants that could significantly deteriorate air quality, raising concerns for residents.
The current weather pattern is expected to continue for the next few days, with no major changes anticipated in the immediate forecast. Details remain unconfirmed, and further updates will be provided as the situation develops.
