The Kacha Area has faced significant challenges over the decades. Residents have struggled with issues related to dacoits and a lack of development. Many locals lacked proper identification, which hindered their access to essential services.

Now, NADRA mobile teams are issuing CNICs and B-Forms in the region. A development package worth Rs23 billion has also been approved for the area. This package aims to transform the local economy and enhance living standards.

Key aspects of the development plan include:

• Providing 14,500 acres of government land to local farmers for cultivation.
• Implementing the “Apna Khet, Apna Rozgar” programme to promote self-reliance among farmers.
• Establishing new schools and colleges, including upgrading 65 existing institutions.
• Offering 300 merit-based scholarships and a special quota of free laptops for students.
• Monitoring the region using modern drones and advanced surveillance systems.

Maryam Nawaz emphasized that development is a right for all individuals in Kacha, similar to other parts of Punjab. Azma Bokhari added that no criminal elements will be allowed to re-establish themselves in the area. The allocated land is specifically for landless farmers who have suffered for generations.

This initiative marks a decisive shift towards improved security and opportunities for residents. The implementation of these measures could lead to a safer, more developed community moving forward.
