The two societies, Shaheen Town and Islamabad Green Paradise, were sealed due to violations of planning and zoning laws, along with illegal plot sales. CDA officials have warned the public not to buy plots in these unauthorized schemes.

CDA has published a list of 98 illegal housing schemes on its official website. These schemes have not obtained the required No Objection Certificates (NOCs). The enforcement measures are part of CDA’s commitment to safeguarding the public.

The actions taken by CDA are based on the CDA Ordinance 1960 and the ICT Zoning Regulations 1992. Officials cited breaches of four sections of the CDA Ordinance and three clauses of the zoning regulations.

CDA has a two-stage approval process for private housing schemes. The sealing of offices is part of a larger operation against illegal housing schemes, which comprises two phases. Citizens are urged to verify the legal status of housing societies before investing.

CDA officials stated that relevant departments had repeatedly cautioned the public through advertisements about the risks of buying plots in illegal housing schemes. The public is encouraged to check the CDA website for updates on housing society statuses.

This operation reflects CDA’s ongoing efforts to combat property fraud and protect potential investors from being misled by fraudulent practices in Islamabad’s real estate market.
