BTS to Hold Concert at Gwanghwamun Square

“We are preparing based on the assumption that the maximum number of people could gather,” stated Park Jeong Bo, a representative of BTS, regarding their upcoming concert at Gwanghwamun Square.

The concert, scheduled for March 21, 2026, marks BTS’s first live performance in four years, following their hiatus that began in 2022. It is expected to attract up to 260,000 fans, with around 13,000 ticket holders granted access to the core performance enclosure.

Set against the backdrop of Gwanghwamun Square, a site of historical significance as the heart of the Joseon Dynasty, the concert will feature brand-new performances from their album “Arirang,” which is set to be released just one day prior, on March 20, 2026.

This event will not only be a significant moment for BTS but also for fans worldwide, as it will be livestreamed globally on Netflix, making it the first live Korean event to broadcast worldwide.

The concert is anticipated to run for approximately one hour and is expected to generate over $1 billion in revenue. Following this event, BTS will embark on an extensive world tour comprising 82 shows across 34 cities in 23 countries from April 2026 to March 2027.

Gwanghwamun Square has been the historic heart and soul of Seoul and the country for centuries, making it a fitting location for such a monumental event in the K-pop landscape.

As the excitement builds for this concert, fans are eager to witness the return of BTS and the new music they will unveil. The anticipation surrounding the album and the concert reflects the enduring popularity of the group.

Details remain unconfirmed regarding additional features of the concert, but the significance of this event for both BTS and their fans cannot be overstated.

With the concert just around the corner, the preparations are in full swing, promising an unforgettable experience for all attendees and viewers alike.
